Nearly all of our branch members have requested financial support and advice at some time.

Here are some examples of activities, resources and services the branch has helped to fund for individual members:

  • nebulisers
  • physio tables
  • acapellas
  • trampolines
  • gym fees
  • dancing classes
  • books & dvds about cf for schools
  • conference registration and accommodation
  • music lessons (wind instruments)
  • counselling
  • exceptional travel costs & expenses
  • further education contributions
  • cord blood collection
 

The branch also regularly funds/ or has purchased:

  • in-patient voucher packs (New World, Hospital Cafeteria, United Video & McDonalds)
  • newsletter, printing & postage
  • TV and Sony Playstation for Adult Wards
  • information booklets, eg. infection control documents
  • social events - hosting or subsidising, hiring venues & providing catering
  • gifts to mark significant events within the cf community, eg. to show support, congratulations or thanks
  • in-patient folders for use in Paediatrics
  • Wellington hospital parking fees

Provides financial assistance to people need to travel long distances or travel frequently to receive specialist healthcare.
